Hello and welcome. Finding the right fit with a therapist is important. With that in mind, I’d like to tell you a little about myself and my work.
Relationships are one of my main areas of focus. I work with individuals, couples and families. Your life is shaped by experiences at home, at work and out in the world. Your choices create your destiny. Thoughts, words, moods and actions plus the people around you have a great impact on your life.
I also work with:
• Anxiety and Depression
• Intimacy, Sexuality and Coming Out
• Couples Issues
• Change, Grief and Loss
• Short–Term Crisis Counseling
• 12-Step Support
• Life Transitions and Aging
My graduate degree in Clinical Psychology comes from Antioch University. The University of Massachusetts was where I earned my undergraduate degree in Management of Human Services. Internships and training experiences have come from community health clinics, a hospital’s psychiatric intensive care unit and private practice.
My private practice began here in San Diego in 2004, and previously I was a Staff Therapist at the San Diego LGBT Center’s Behavioral Health Services. Two group therapies I have led are: “The Second Half of the Journey: for Gay Men 40 and Older” and “Interventions and Support to Enhance Healthy and Responsible Sexual Behavior.”
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a corporate trainer, a social issues author for Fortune 500 companies and in aviation as a flight attendant, trainer and manager. World travel and co-parenting three children, who are now grown, have been very rewarding experiences.
In my free time, I cycle, enjoy watching films, reading, travel and researching my family tree.
Please feel free to contact me by phone or email. You may also follow me on Twitter at the account located at the top of the page. I look forward to meeting with you.
